At the beginning of the process, a family advocate will call caregivers to explain what to expect at the Children’s Advocacy Center and schedule the interview. The family advocate will support the caregiver during their visit at the Children’s Advocacy Center, and offer to connect them to more services for themselves and their children. These services include mental health, medical, support services, and legal services. The family advocate will then call caregivers at seven days and thirty days to offer more support and more access to referrals.
